Since the podcast started in 2010, our monthly editions have looked back at a series of matches. We like to reflect and look at a developing stories that develop over a few games, not pick every game to pieces.

The From the Rookery End podcasts are the hub of this site; all our previous podcasts are available here.

3.6 – Ikechi if you can

This month’s podcast comes in two parts. Part 1 is at the FA Youth Cup game where the boys look at the future hornets and chat to the outgoing Head of Academy Nick Cox. Part 2 is at Hull City home game when Jon, Jason and Mike meet Ikechi Anya, chat about the up coming Man City FA Cup game and we have to talk about he who we wish to forget!!

3.5 – The Flying Dutchman

The start of this podcast was not as planned (yes we do plan them), but it was a lovely surprise to meet and chat Nordin Wooter. Along with Nordin Jon and Mike chat to Sky Sports Adam Leventhal, Wolves commentator Steve Herman and young hornet Connor Smith! There is no Jas this mornth, but there is the return of Robo-Jas. It’s been a successful November so it’s happy hornets all round – even Mike!

3.4 – Waiting for a lift

This month the boys are feeling far more positive about being Watford fans. As well as talking on-pitch action with Watford fan David Cameron Walker from the “We Are Going Up” podcast, but author Lionel Birnie is back to talk about his (and 10 others) new book, and to discuss the recent hornets coverage in the national press. In 100 Objects a sever and some vegetables go into the list, plus Jon talks to current loan player Nathaniel Chalobah who really is only 17 years old!

3.3 – Digger Donny and a few Defeats

This month Jon, Jason and Mike return with not only Martin Taylor’s final interview as a Watford player where he answers the toughest question FTRE have ever asked, but we launch the “Pozzo League” and Watford in 100 Objects returns. Oh and Watford legend John Barnes is on pod talking about two special objects for the list. Yes, John Barnes. Plus there are four defeats and a draw to talk about!

3.2 – Meet the Management

Watford fans still smarting from the last gasp defeat to Bradford City have something to take your mind off the Hornets Cup exit today, as the new episode of the ‘From the Rookery End’ podcast is released.

3.1 – Cautiously Optimistic

We are back for the third season of From The Rookery End podcast. Yes, it really has been that long! And as Watford start a new season, with a new manager, new owners and a new pitch, Jason, Mike and I chat about the flip-flopping exit of the previous owner Laurence Bassini. We hope this is the last time we mention him on a podcast.

2.11 – End of Season Awards 2011-12

It’s the end of the season and what an interesting season it has been for Watford fans. In the last podcast of the season Jason, Jon and Mike give out the From The Rookery End Awards which include a superhero, a spy and a friend of a physio. There’s also a chat with Watford loanee Michael Kightly and to round off a great first season for Sean Dyche there’s a tribute song to the tune of a 90’s rave classic!

2.10 – He’s one of our own

Time flies when you’re having a decent season. It’s certainly been better than we could ever have hoped. In this pod Jon, Jason and Mike are joined by David Lewy as co-host and they talk to Academy Director Nick Cox about the clubs unique set up as well as the latest graduate to start banging in the goals – Sean Murray.

2.9 – Congas and Comebacks

In the March 2012 FTRE podcast Jon, Mike and Jason chat about a great month and look ahead to the final 10 games. They’ve got a song for new fans favourite Sean Murray and as he returns from injury Stephen McGinn talks about his recovery. We also induct a Knight, a fanzine and some clean sheets into our WFC in 100 Objects!

2.8 – Onwards and Upwards

It’s been the most eventful month yet for Watford this season, so Jon, Mike and Jason have plenty to talk about. So much they had to get Watford Commentator Jon Marks and photographic Legend Alan Cozzi to join them to help. Lloyd Doyley is on taking on Mike as he prepares for his first testimonial event and Troy Deeney tells us how to deal with changing room banter.
