Beppe v Zola – a league table

As Watford reach the 40th game of the season, who does Beppe compare to Zola?

I. AM. GAFFER.

Just in case you were still in any doubt!

Boring, Boring Beppe?

We’re all aware of the personal significance to Troy Deeney’s when he second his goal against Sheffield Wednesday last Saturday. However, it also hit a threshold for Beppe Sannino. That’s now 30 goals in his 18 Championship games at Watford, which matches the 30 goals that Watford scored in the division under Zola’s reign this season. That number was achieved in 20 games overseen by Gianfranco. Only a couple of games more, but more nonetheless.

Interview – Watford CEO Scott Duxbury

In a special podcast, the boys talk to Watford CEO – Scott Duxbury – about his first two years at Watford and why the future is looking good!

ONE WORD FEELINGS…

It’s been a chaotic season for Watford, that so far hasn’t really gone to plan. Keen to find out how fellow Hornets are dealing with what is unfolding at Vicarage Road, Mike took to Twitter and asked Watford supporters to share their feelings about the season so far.

Mike’s Ipswich Photo Challenge…

Those of you that have listened to the latest podcast will know that Jon and I travelled to Ipswich to try our hand at various roles within the media team. I was tasked with being a photographer for the day, and was immediately set a task by legendary club snapper Alan Cozzi.

GUARDIAN: Half Term Report

From time to time we get asked to contribute a few FTRE thoughts for a Guardian website feature. This month, Mike, along with fans from every Championship club, was asked to contribute a ‘Half Term Report on the Hornets season so far.

MATCH REPORT: Ipswich 1-1 Watford

Watford’s starting 3-5-2 formation felt like a Watford ghost of Christmas present. New Hornets Head Coach, Giuseppe Sannino, may have made 7 changes from the last line up named by Gianfranco Zola a week earlier, but the faces and ethos didn’t seem too different.

Get ready…

I’d never describe being a Watford supporter as easy. There’s always something. You don’t have to have been a Hornet for too long to have experienced pretty much all the game has to offer; promotion, relegation, great football, awful football, terrifyingly dodgy owners, financial meltdown, last minute winners for, last minute winners against, we’ve seen it all in the past decade or so.
